Stress Causes Migraines and More

Stress & Tension Cause Head To Toe Pains.

Do yourself a favor and just breathe! Stress is known to cause many different illnesses including that throbbing pain in your head. If you can get your stress level down, you just might be able to live your remaining days without head and body pains.

Do you put stress on yourself?

There are certain things in life that will cause you to be more stressed. Often, these are the little day-to-day hassles that you can’t control. Answer these few questions to help you find your answer:

Do you get upset about things you can’t control, such as traffic or weather?

Do you expect perfection from yourself & others?

Do you get mad, anxious or nervous easily?

If someone around you is stressed, do you feel stressed too?

Dailey stress such as waiting in line, losing something or waking up late make you feel stressed?

The more yes answers that you have, the more stress and tension are controlling your life.

Tips to keep stress under control

Get enough sleep. If your body and mind are rested it will be less likely to over react to every little stress and strain.

Take a few minutes each day to sit quietly. Try to go where there’s not much noise. Close your eyes, take a long deep breath. Now, imagine yourself being in a garden of Paradise with only the sounds of nature in your ears.

Exercise a little each day. Exercise helps your body release energy. It relaxes your muscles, calms your nerves, makes you feel better about yourself and makes your butt look good in jeans.

Remember that everyone makes mistakes, nobody is perfect. Having expectations that can never be met is very stressful.

You have no control over things like the weather, traffic jams and other peoples moods. Expect things to go wrong once in awhile. Avoid hassles when possible. If driving in rush hour traffic drives you up a wall, try public transportation, carpooling or getting up an hour earlier.

If you feel overwhelmed, depressed or unable to deal with stress on your own, get help on your own. Your doctor, employer, or a mental health agency can refer you to a professional to help you understand and cope with your feelings.

Stretching loosens the muscle tension that is a natural stress response. Try simple stretches to your neck, back and upper body, like sitting in a chair, let your body rest on your lap, letting your head drop forward. Relax 1-2 minutes, then slowly sit up.

DEVELOP A POSITIVE ATTITUDE AND LIFESTYLE

A positive attitude helps you approach life and stress as a challenge to be enjoyed. Creating a positive mind-set takes practice. Try rehearsing stressful situations, go over the details and see yourself proceeding successfully.

A positive lifestyle-with exercise, good nutrition, plenty of water, rest and relaxation you will feel more at peace and will reduce the risk of stress related illness. Put yourself near positive minded people, they will eventually rub off on you. Stay away from all negative minded people until you feel like you can be around them without sharing their stress and tension.

You can take back control of your life

Stress is a fact of life in today's fast paced world. But stress doesn’t have to be a way of life. You can be in control by learning how you feel under stress. Then, by finding solutions to whatever causes your stress by using simple relaxation techniques, and developing a positive attitude and lifestyle, you can manage the stress in your life.
